I want to make a stand
-- stand out of the crowd
and really feel beautiful
without even being vain,
or narcissistic in any way.
I want to be seen and
just for a second, know
it's all real and not just pretend,
that I am actually there.

I want to be acknowledged
and to fulfil all my desires,
as selfish as they may seem
-- but I want to be heard,
imprinted into everyone's mind
and be the one they reminiscence.
I want a life free of complications
-- no worry, and no stress,
away from the clutches of burden,
of responsibilities, of duties and ties.

I want to speak what I want to say
and have people register it all,
or at least try to understand a part of it.
I want compassion, a love and a life.

But to live as you like, is only living for you
and if it's attention I seek then somehow,
it must be wrong because to show such
vanity is foolish and stupid, because ...
to live for one's self, is not living at all.
